Just returned from the Riverside air show. I’ll keep the review short and brief. In the following days we will review and edit images for uploading. Unfortunately, we had technical issues and were unable to record video of show.
- Wind was the major issue of the day, with gusts averaging 25mph.
- Much of the staging was moved from the main runway to the cross runway on the airports west end to avoid cross winds.
- The F-16 flyby/demo was canceled due to mechanical problems.
- The F-18 did a full demo.
- The F4 made a great impact with amazing high speed passes.
- The C-17 was the first military demo (originally scheduled to be the last) and was a great sight as usual.
- All of the performers flew and did a great job in the high cross winds.
- The show was quite boring at some points, picking up in the afternoon when the military demos took over.
